MOBILE, Ala.— A head-on accident involving a car and four motorcycles left three people dead and others injured April 13 along Highway 158.
Authorities reported the accident occurred shortly after 9 p.m. near Wilmer Georgetown Road. A 2023 Ford Mustang struck four motorcycles traveling eastbound, resulting in three fatalities and severe injuries to others.
Investigators identified Wade Thornhill, a 21-year-old Clinton, Mississippi man, as the driver of the Ford Mustang. Thornhill sustained critical injuries in the accident and was transported to USA Hospital in Mobile for medical care.
The impact killed three motorcyclists, including a 39-year-old Mobile man, a 39-year-old Prichard man, and a 21-year-old Mississippi woman. Another motorcyclist, a 34-year-old Alabama man, was seriously injured and remains hospitalized.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the accident.
