SHAWNEE— Aiden Martin, age 22, and Emmaleigh Arnold, age 21, both of Cleveland County, died Tuesday evening in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 40.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported the accident occurred in Shawnee around 5:45 p.m. along westbound I-40 near milepost 182. Martin and Arnold were passengers in a Kia Forte that was struck during the five-vehicle accident, which included a tractor-trailer.
Martin and Arnold were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Kia suffered injuries and was released after treatment at a hospital. Two other drivers were hospitalized.
OHP continues to investigate the crash.
