ARLINGTON— Andrew Duckworth, age 30, of Cleburne, sustained serious injuries Saturday night after an SUV struck him on Interstate 20.
Arlington police reported the incident occurred near the Collins Street exit while Duckworth was riding his newly purchased motorcycle home. A black Chevrolet Tahoe SUV struck Duckworth and briefly stopped before leaving the scene.
Emergency responders transported Duckworth to a hospital with head injuries, a fractured spine, and severe road rash. Witnesses at the scene contacted 911, with one staying by Duckworth’s side until paramedics arrived.
Police stated the suspect vehicle is a 2007-2014 Chevrolet Tahoe with damage to the front driver’s side. The investigation is ongoing, according to Arlington police.
