AUSTIN— Anissa Zapata, age 23, faces charges for her involvement in a fatal crash Saturday night on Menchaca Road near Davis Lane.
Austin Police reported the accident happened shortly after 8 p.m. A vehicle driven by Zapata struck a pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet identified the victim.
Police arrested Zapata and charged her with accident involving death and driving while intoxicated. The investigation remains ongoing.
