LAKE BALBOA—Anna Jacobson and Jose Avina died Monday evening after a train struck them on Roscoe Boulevard near Balboa Boulevard.
Authorities said Jacobson, 31, and Avina, 34, were walking near the 17000 block of Roscoe Boulevard when a Metrolink train hit them.
Emergency responders arrived around 6:12 p.m. and pronounced both individuals dead at the scene.
Officials continue investigating the circumstances of the incident.
