SIOUX COUNTY— Ashley Van Beek, age 26, of Sioux Center suffered injuries on Mar. 15 when a vehicle crossed the centerline and struck her car head-on.
Authorities said a 2004 Honda, driven by a 38-year-old South Sioux City, Nebraska man, lost control while heading south on Jackson Avenue. The incident happened at around 6:15 p.m. at Highway 60 and Jackson Avenue.
The crash left Van Beek with injuries, but her seatbelt use prevented more severe harm.
Emergency crews transported Van Beek to Orange City Hospital for treatment.
The Iowa State Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
