HARRISON COUNTY— Breanna Arthurs, 28, of Wellsburg, died Friday night after being ejected from a UTV on State Route 342.
Authorities said the vehicle veered off the road in Freeport Township and overturned after over-correcting. Arthurs, a passenger, was thrown from the vehicle.
Emergency responders pronounced Arthurs dead at the scene. Another passenger, an 18-year-old Freeport woman, was also ejected and taken to Aultman Hospital with injuries.
The driver, a 47-year-old Freeport woman, was treated at the scene and later arrested for OVI.
An investigation is ongoing by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

According to Consumer Product Safety Commission statistics, about 568 adults and 144 children die each year in ATV and UTV crashes, and many more are injured.
