CINCINNATI —Catherine Reid Duffy, 30, died in a motorcycle crash on Mar. 3 in Cincinnati’s East Westwood area, according to authorities.
Police reported that the crash happened around 12:30 a.m. on Westwood Northern Boulevard near McHenry Avenue.
Investigators stated that a 24-year-old man was operating a 2012 Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound with Duffy as a passenger. The driver lost control, struck a curb, and left the road, ejecting both individuals from the vehicle.
Emergency responders pronounced Duffy dead at the scene. The driver was injured and transported to UC Medical Center.
Police confirmed that both individuals were wearing helmets and are investigating excessive speed and impairment as possible factors in the crash.
