BELLEFONTAINE—A crash on Feb. 28 injured Charles Emory, 81, of Springfield, on U.S. Highway 68 South.
Police said Emory was driving a 2014 Ford F-150 north when a 48-year-old woman in a 2006 Honda Civic veered left of center and hit his vehicle. The impact pushed Emory’s truck left of center, where it struck a 2016 Ford F-150 driven by a 58-year-old man.
Emergency responders took Emory and the other man to Mary Rutan Hospital with serious injuries. Authorities said the woman driving the Civic was pronounced dead at the hospital and was not wearing a seatbelt.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
