PONTIAC—The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office reported that Charles Arnold O’Connor, age 37, of Flint, died on Friday night after being struck by a pickup truck in Pontiac. The incident occurred at 8:38 p.m. on Baldwin Road near Virginia Avenue.
Deputies said O’Connor was crossing Baldwin Road when a pickup, driven by a 16-year-old female from Pontiac, hit him. Emergency responders found O’Connor in the roadway with serious injuries.
Paramedics transported O’Connor to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators stated that speed, alcohol, and drugs were not believed to be factors in the crash.
The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate.
