BRIDGE CITY— Erick Rodgers, age 34, of Greenbriar, Arkansas, was involved in a fatal highway crash Thursday morning near Bridge City.
Texas Department of Public Safety reported the crash occurred just before 10 a.m. on Highway 62 at Waterwood Drive. Rodgers was driving a southbound Peterbilt tractor-trailer when a Buick Enclave pulled onto Highway 62 and was struck.
Rodgers was not injured in the crash. The Buick’s driver died at the scene but was not publically identified pending family notification.
The crash remains under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
