LEFLORE COUNTY—A crash on U.S. Highway 271 near LeFlore Road claimed the life of Gregory Savage on Monday morning.
Authorities said Savage, 39, was a passenger in a truck struck head-on by another vehicle crossing into oncoming traffic.
The crash occurred at around 11:35 a.m., approximately five miles south of Fanshaw. Emergency responders pronounced Savage dead at the scene.
Officials reported that both drivers involved were airlifted to hospitals with injuries.
Investigators continue to determine the cause of the crash.
