SAN ANTONIO—Authorities in Bexar County identified Homer Idrogo as the bicyclist killed after being struck by vehicles on Enrique M. Parkway.
Police said Idrogo, age 51, was crossing the street on a bicycle when a pickup truck hit him and fled the scene.
A second vehicle struck Idrogo while he was on the ground. The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene to cooperate.
Investigators confirmed the incident occurred near Monterey Street just after 6 a.m. Friday.
Officials said charges are pending against the fleeing driver.

2049 people were killed by hit-and-run crashes in 2016 — a 62 percent increase from 2009, the last year in which a downward trend was recorded. AAA said the data makes 2016 the deadliest year since the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration began compiling statistics on fatal motor vehicle crashes in 1975.
