PEORIA— An East Peoria man died Saturday night after a vehicle hit his motorcycle on Coyle Avenue.
The Peoria County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 25-year-old Ian Harvey.
Authorities said that the crash occurred just after 9:30 p.m. A juvenile driver allegedly ran a stop sign and struck Harvey’s motorcycle, causing him to fall. Another vehicle traveling behind him subsequently struck him.
The coroner’s office stated that Harvey suffered multiple blunt-force trauma injuries and likely died instantly. He was wearing a helmet and protective gear.
The Illinois State Police and the Peoria County Coroner continue to investigate.
