HUNTSVILLE, Ala.— Jaleel Kennedy, age 26, tragically lost her life on March 29 in a head-on crash in Huntsville.
The Huntsville Police Department reported the accident occurred around 9:27 p.m. near Pulaski Pike and Sparkman Drive. Kennedy sustained serious injuries in the accident and was transported to the hospital, where she later succumbed.
The other vehicle’s driver and passengers also suffered injuries. Emergency responders took them to the hospital, where they are expected to recover.
Additional information was not immediately released.
The Huntsville Police Department is investigating the accident.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Fatality Analysis Reporting System, there were 33,654 fatal motor vehicle crashes in the United States in 2018 in which 36,560 deaths occurred. This resulted in 11.2 deaths per 100,000 people and 1.13 deaths per 100 million miles traveled.
