A Red Lake Falls woman suffered life-threatening injuries on Aug. 2 when her golf cart collided with a tractor-trailer.
According to a report from public information trooper Sgt. Jesse Grabow, a 2013 Peterbilt tractor-trailer was headed north on Highway 32 while, at the same time, the golf cart was traveling west on Seventh Street. Just after 9:30 a.m., the vehicles collided.
Olson was transported to Sanford West Fargo Clinic for treatment, while the truck driver, a 53-year-old Greenbush man, was not hurt.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
The Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
CRASH INVESTIGATION
Candice Bond, an experienced tractor-trailer accident attorney, said in such cases, it’s imperative to have an independent investigation conducted promptly to protect a victim’s rights.
“Tractor-trailer crashes are often complex, and many factors can play a role in these types of accidents,” said Bond, a Managing Partner of Bond Legal.
“A skilled attorney can protect victims from trucking companies, which often send their own investigators to crash sites and possess a variety of resources they can utilize to defend a negligent truck driver.
“Your lawyer can advocate for you by hiring expert witnesses, conducting drivers’ background checks, locating witnesses to the crash, and reviewing applicable insurance coverage, while carefully guiding a victim through the legal process.”
PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM
Janice Olson may have the right to pursue a personal injury claim pending an investigation.
Stefano Formica, of counsel at Bond Legal, said, “Injured victims involved in a collision often seek a personal injury claim to cover the cost of medical bills, future medical care, loss of income, emotional trauma, and pain and suffering.
“Insurance companies can be notoriously unconcerned with the mounting costs that an injured party may accrue. An attorney can help. We protect the victims of these tragedies daily, forcing the insurance companies to pay for their mistakes,” he added.
