WEST TOLEDO— Jennifer Pelwecki, age 52, was driving a vehicle that struck and killed a woman Sunday night on West Laskey Road.
Toledo Police reported the pedestrian accident occurred just before 9 p.m. in the 1900 block of W. Laskey Road. Pelwecki, a Pawnee Road resident, was driving west when her vehicle hit the woman as she crossed from the south to the north side of the road.
Authorities stated the pedestrian was not using a nearby crosswalk. Emergency responders transported the woman to ProMedica Toledo Hospital, where she later died.
Police confirmed the investigation is ongoing.
