The accident occurred on April 8 just before 7 a.m. on Highway 70 near Rush Creek. Emergency crews responded to the scene, where they found the individuals injured and airlifted them to Enloe Health for treatment.
Authorities identified Jeremy Genn, a 53-year-old man from Oakdale, as the driver of the Acura sedan involved in the accident. Investigators stated that Genn’s vehicle was seen driving recklessly and entered the wrong lane while navigating a blind curve. The Acura collided head-on with a Chevrolet pickup truck driven by a 62-year-old man from Quincy.
The California Highway Patrol said the reckless driving caused severe injuries to Genn, his female passenger, and the pickup driver.
