LEE COUNTY—Josue Diaz was identified as one of the five people who died in a crash Mar. 2 in Lee County.
The incident happened just before 12:30 a.m. on Colon Road when the driver of a speeding Dodge Charger lost control. The car ran off the road and slammed into a tree.
All five people inside the car died.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. They noted that the speed of the vehicle was a significant factor in the accident.
