HALL COUNTY— Kegan Thomas, age 24, and Ariyana Richards, age 22, died Saturday morning in a crash on Browns Bridge Road.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office stated the incident occurred near Cherry Circle. Thomas, driving in the right lane, overtook another vehicle in the left lane before returning to the right. The other driver moved into the left lane and then hit Thomas’s vehicle while merging back, causing it to leave the road, hit a utility pole, and overturn.
Both Thomas and Richards died in the crash.
Authorities arrested the other driver later that evening on vehicular homicide and reckless driving charges.
The investigation is ongoing by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
