JONESBORO—A crash in Jonesboro killed Larry Traylor, age 57, of West Memphis, on Feb. 27. Police said the incident happened around 10:05 p.m. in the 2100 block of East Matthews Avenue.
Authorities reported that a 2012 Dodge Ram, traveling west in the eastbound lane, struck a 2023 Nissan Altima and then hit Traylor’s 2004 Toyota Camry. The impact caused fatal injuries to Traylor, and the Craighead County coroner pronounced him dead at the scene.
Several other individuals involved in the crash sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
Police arrested the driver of the Dodge Ram, a 39-year-old man, on charges including negligent homicide, driving while intoxicated, and reckless driving.
Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
