CHARLOTTE— Leon Willis, 59, died on Mar. 14 after a Dodge Charger struck him while he was riding a moped on Graham Street in Uptown Charlotte.
Charlotte police said Willis was traveling north on Graham Street when the vehicle, driven by a 33-year-old woman, turned left into his path. The impact left Willis with severe injuries, and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and did not report any injuries.
Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
