Michael Fritz sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle crash in Cape Canaveral on Jan. 31, according to authorities.
The incident occurred as Fritz was on his way to work. Without warning, a truck pulled out in front of him, causing a collision. Fritz was ejected from the motorcycle.
He suffered multiple injuries including tibia and fibula fractures, a fractured tibia plateau, and bulging disks in his neck.
Fritz was hospitalized following the incident and has remained under medical care. His injuries, while serious, are not life-threatening. He has undergone one surgery and is expected to require at least one more.
Authorities did not disclose information about the truck driver.
The accident remains under investigation.
