BROOKLYN— Natasha Saada, age 34, and her daughters, Diana, 8, and Deborah, 5, tragically died on March 29 in Brooklyn.
New York City police reported Saada and her children were struck by a speeding vehicle while crossing Ocean Parkway near Quentin Avenue. Police stated they were at a Midwood crosswalk when the incident occurred. Emergency responders transported Saada and her children to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead. Saada’s son, Philip, age 4, was critically injured and remains hospitalized.
Police identified the driver as Miriam Yarimi, age 32, who was driving a blue 2023 Audi A3 with a suspended license. Yarimi rear-ended another vehicle before hitting Saada and her children. The FDNY extricated Yarimi from her car after the crash.
The occupants of the second vehicle suffered minor injuries.
Yarimi faces charges including second-degree manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, reckless driving, and speeding.
An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
