DOUGLAS COUNTY— Noah Garret, age 19, of Arthur, was injured Monday evening after a head-on crash on State Route 133.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office reported the crash occurred around 5:53 p.m., approximately 3.6 miles east of Arthur. Officials said a vehicle driven by a 61-year-old Charleston woman crossed the centerline and struck Garret’s vehicle head-on.
Emergency responders airlifted Garret to Carle Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
