POINSETT COUNTY— Revail Murphy, age 36, lost his life on March 29 after a high-speed pursuit ended in Poinsett County.
Arkansas State Police reported the pursuit began on State Highway 14 with Waldenburg Police. ASP troopers joined the chase after Murphy passed I-555 south. Authorities stated an ASP trooper used a Tactical Vehicle Intervention maneuver on Interstate 55 to stop Murphy’s vehicle.
Murphy’s car overturned off the roadway, ejecting him. Emergency responders transported him to Medical One for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries the next day. A 39-year-old passenger in the vehicle was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a West Memphis hospital.
ASP confirmed Murphy was wanted in Tennessee for multiple charges, including aggravated assault and robbery.
