SANDY SPRINGS— Robert Sanders faces multiple charges after causing a deadly hit-and-run accident early Friday morning on Roswell Road.
Sandy Springs police reported the accident occurred near Mystic Place. Investigators alleged that Sanders was doing drugs before the crash. Authorities said Sanders left the scene after striking another vehicle.
Officers tracked him down later and made an arrest.
Police charged Sanders with DUI (drugs), reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, hit-and-run, and vehicular homicide in the first degree.
The identity of the victim was not immediately disclosed.
Sandy Springs police are continuing their investigation.
