PAMPA— Ryan King, age 43, died on March 25 after a crash involving an SUV and a motorcycle at W. 21st Avenue and Williston Street.
City of Pampa officials reported that the accident occurred at around 6:30 p.m. King was riding a motorcycle when an SUV struck the vehicle.
Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene. A passenger on the motorcycle sustained life-threatening injuries and was later airlifted to an Amarillo hospital.
The 15-year-old boy driving the SUV was arrested and charged with manslaughter. A passenger on the motorcycle sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital.
Authorities cited the boy’s parent for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate the vehicle.
The Pampa Police Department is investigating. Information was provided by city officials.
