LOVES PARK— Police arrested Tevyn Thorns, age 28, on March 25 after a crash injured a woman at Forest Hills and Harlem roads.
Authorities reported the crash occurred around 5 a.m. when a vehicle hit a Jeep, causing it to strike a pole. Police said Thorns fled on foot, leaving the scene immediately after the crash.
The woman, who reported head pain, was transported to a hospital for treatment. Police later found Thorns and took him into custody.
Officials stated Thorns had suspended licenses in Illinois and California and lacked proof of insurance for the vehicle. He faces multiple charges, including driving under the influence, failure to reduce speed, and causing injury during a vehicle crash.
The Loves Park Police Department continues to investigate.
