RUSSELL COUNTY, Ala.— Tonya McGraw, age 51, tragically lost her life on March 31 in a multi-vehicle accident in Russell County.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported the accident occurred around 7:50 a.m. on U.S. Highway 80 near milepost 208, west of Phenix City. McGraw was driving a Hyundai Sonata when a Ford F-350 pickup truck collided head-on with her vehicle. Before striking McGraw’s car, the Ford hit a Honda Accord.
Emergency responders pronounced McGraw dead at the scene.
Both the Ford driver, a 56-year-old Hamilton resident, and the Honda driver, a 34-year-old from Fort Mitchell, sustained injuries and were taken to Piedmont Midtown Medical Center.
Alabama Law Enforcement Agency troopers continue to investigate the accident.
