SPARTANBURG COUNTY— Tyesha Edwards, age 36, died on March 29, after a single-car accident in Spartanburg County.
South Carolina Highway Patrol reported the collision happened at 11:50 p.m. on Union Street near Cedar Springs Road. Edwards was driving a 2000 Acura west when the car veered off the road and hit a ditch and concrete barrier.
Emergency responders pronounced Edwards dead at the scene at 12:06 a.m.
Authorities confirmed four passengers in the Acura were taken to the hospital with injuries. Their current conditions remain unknown.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues investigating the incident.
