Vincent Cunningham, age 64, was taken into custody following a pedestrian crash that resulted in a fatality in Atlanta late Tuesday, according to the Atlanta Police Department.
The incident occurred around 11:58 p.m. at the intersection of Campbellton Road SW and Childress Drive SW.
Initial findings indicated that a man was struck at a low speed by a red or maroon pickup truck traveling east. The vehicle did not stop and continued eastbound.
Cunningham was arrested on Wednesday and charged with homicide by vehicle in the first degree and hit-and-run.
The Atlanta Police Department is continuing its investigation into the case.
